Johnny in action here posing for the camera!

Johnny has been with CrossFit Fenrir from the outset. With a training background of Rugby and amateur Bodybuilding, he brought a fantastic base level of strength from the outset. However, flexibility and gymnastic movements initially proved to be a challenge as a result. Since starting in August, Johnny has consistently brought dedication, an endlessly positive attitude and outstanding mental fortitude to his CrossFit training. He has since dramatically improved on all of his major lifts in addition to now linking handstand pushups, kipping pull ups and other gymnastic movements as well as a remarkable increase in metabolic conditioning. Keep up the fantastic work, Johnny! You are a valuable member of our community!

Name: Johnny H

Time Doing CrossFit:6 months

Short Term Goal: General fitness and weight loss

Long Term Goal: Increase overall fitness, improve technique and then compete in CF competitions and strongman

Favourite Movement/Workout: Deadlift / handstand press ups, box jumps and sit ups

Least Favourite Movement/Workout: Overhead squats / rowing with burpees 21/15/9

Improvements Seen in CrossFit: Flexibility and overall strength

How has doing CrossFit impacted your life outside of the gym?: Apart from the physical changes which has improved my confidence, I have a lot more energy and coupled with Paleo I am a lot more healthy.

Why do you train?: Because I enjoy pushing myself. I have spent many years training in the gym not really knowing what I am doing and why. But I think 90% of the population who go to gyms are the same. CrossFit and mainly Olly, has not only taught me the right way to work out and technique but I finally crave for the gym and feel I am meeting my long term goals.
